NAIFA-Glacial Lakes Region proudly announces its Top 11 finalists for the Watertown's RiSING Star Competition.   It presents the opportunity to join together and to perform on a world class stage at the Goss Opera House in Watertown, South Dakota.

RiSING Star Competition Top 10 11 Performance Saturday February 20th, 2010 5pm~Social Hour 6pm~Dinner 7pm~Top 10 Performance begins!!   Tickets are $20 for balcony seats SHOW ONLY! Reserved Tables of 8-$350 include dinner, 1 drink and the show Reserved Tables of 12-$525 include dinner, 1 drink and the show Box seats for 2-$200 include dinner, drinks for the evening, and the show   Tickets available at The Goss Opera House

Eligibility

UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE: EVERYONE under the age of 18 must have permission from their parents or legal guardians to be at the auditions AND must be accompanied by one parent or guardian.  If the parents of legal guardian is unable to attend, and is allowing the minor to attend the audition under the supervision of a third-party adult, two things must be completed:

There will be a limited number of performance spots available for the Final Performance on February 20th, 2010.  Final Performers will be chosen by a selection committee based on their submitted or live audition.

Requirements
Watertown’s RiSING Star Competition is for amateur  performers only.  A $10 entry fee per performance is due at the time of audition.  All performances must be family friendly and appropriate for all age groups.   There is no smoking, drinking or illegal activity allowed on stage.  Entries can be individual or group entries.  Total performance time is not to exceed 5 minutes.
All aspects of the performance, including but not limited to content, props, costumes, tech needs, etc. must be approved by the Technical Directors prior to performance.  No changes to performance are allowed without prior approval from the Technical Directors.  Performers must be able to attend a rehearsal and the Final Performance on February 20th, 2010.  Missing the rehearsal could result in your replacement in the Final Performance.
Performers must provide for their own costume and accompaniment.  All tech needs, including lighting and sound, will be at the discretion of the Technical Director.  Any special tech requests must be approved by the Technical Directors.
Performances will be judged on talent, execution, and overall performance.  Judges decisions are final.  There will be prizes for the top three performances at the Final Performance.

Entries
Live audition dates and times are TBA.  If you cannot make it to the audition, you may submit a CD of your act by mailing in a disc of your performance.  All performance guidelines still apply.  Disc submissions will be accepted until January 5th, 2010.  Please label the disc with your name, act name, address and phone number.
Deadline for all Audition Applications and disc submissions is January 5th, 2010.
